What made you want to try this product? Was there something cool, exciting, practical or unique about the product that caught your eye?
It was the only tassel-free horsehair band I could find - at a good price.

If you could add any feature to our product, what would it be?
My addition would be to the website. Under "black and white" horse hair there are two pictures - one black with white and one basically white with black design. I prefered the white with black as the hat is dark - got the black with white.
Is there anything else you would like to tell me?
You have very few horse hairs without tassels. Would have liked more choices, colors and widths. Also, I would have considered a "beach theme" ie coral or shells or polished stones.

I am fortunate to have suppliers that allow me to specify colors. Most do not. For the most part, the designs are chosen based on the volume of each color of hair on hand at the time of creation. However, when this order was placed, I had both designs on hand. A note in the PayPal checkout, an email or a phone call might have helped get what you wanted. Thank you for your other suggestions.

Five Strand Horse Hair Hat band.
The length of this hat band is easy to adjust with two hitched horse hair knots and is expandable to around 26".
It is 5/8" wide.
Please Note that Horsehair has a slippery surface and is very lightweight. Hatbands should, therefore, be secured to a hat by a couple of stitches with fishing line through the inside of the hat.
The hat is not included.
Horse hair is the long, coarse hair growing on the manes and tails of horses. Horsehair can be very stiff or very fine and flexible, mane hair is generally softer and shorter than tail hair. The texture of horse hair can be influenced by the breed and management of the horse, including natural conditions such as diet or climate[53]. Horse hair is the only kind of hair that is harvested without killing the animal. The hair comes from the mane or tail. Think of it as a haircut. The barber doesn't kill you to lower your ears[54]. Horse hair is strong. Items made from it lasts for years, if not decades!
Most horse hair braiders use a square or box braiding technique to create the strands. The strands are about 1/8" square and then can be sewn together side-by-side to make a wide surface for any project.
For example, a seven strand hat band will be 7/8"wide.
I have tried to learn the four strand braid technique. I found it confusing, very time intensive and the end result left a lot to be desired!
The search for a braiding machine has been futile. My admiration goes to those who are proficient in the art.
